About myself!

I graduated my bachelor's degree in physiotherapy from Aug 1996 to Aug 2000 from B.S College of Physiotherapy, Chennai.

I worked as a senior intern in physiotherapy from Sept 2000 to Aug 2001 at Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, C.M.C., Vellore.

I did post graduation in musculoskeletal and manual therapy from Sept 2001 to Aug 2003 at Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences, MAHE, Manipal. Experienced as a tutor, teaching undergraduate students academically and clinically during the post graduation. Experienced also as physiotherapist in various units of the department during the course. 

I joined as a lecturer in the dept of physiotherapy, K.M.C., Mangalore on october 2003. Experienced as physiotherapist in the various units of the department, teaching under graduates and post graduates in both classroom and clinical scenario. I have guided and co-guided many research projects at all levels- projects for BPT interns, dissertations for PG students, presented in 43rd and 44th IAP conferences and preparing for the 45th, presented in 2nd INTERCOMAT 2006 and judged the best paper award, working towards publishing research papers at national and international levels both in indexed and non-indexed journals.

I registered for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on 13 September 2006.

Currently Ongoing studies on Evidence Based Practice:

1- Survey on EBP attitudes of physiotherapists,
2- Survey on EBP attitudes in diagnosis and management of shoulder disorders,
3- Survey of EBP attitudes of physiotherapy post graduates, residents and students; and a randomized controlled trial of effects of a lecture on EBP,
4- Case report of a patient successfully managed with applying evidence to practice,
5- a preliminary randomized controlled trial of Effects of Evidence Based Practice versus Practice Based Evidence on the Outcomes in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy,
6- Effects of Current Undergraduate Curriculum on the Attitudes towards EBP- A Cross Sectional study; and
7-Survey of issues in integration of EBP into undergraduate physiotherapy curriculum;
